The Active Leisure Scheme is an initiative designed to encourage people aged 60 and over to take part in regular physical activity
There are many ways to get more active. It’s easy to build these changes into your everyday routine. Some simple swaps you could try are:
Parking in a spot which is further away from the shop entrance
Taking the stairs instead of the lift
Using public transport or walking to destinations
Getting off the bus/train a stop earlier
Standing more throughout the day
Join others just like you who are making their move every day! Whether it’s a quick walk at lunch or a daily workout – people around you are embracing an active lifestyle, and so can you!
No matter how small, every move you make contributes to your health & wellbeing. Celebrate the victories along the way and enjoy the positive changes you’ll feel in your body and mind!
